At TikTok, he led global product strategy for the e-commerce API ecosystem, driving integrations with platforms like Shopify and OpenTable, managing cross-functional teams, and launching products in partnership with engineering.

Previously, as Head of Product at a $400M quant hedge fund, he built core systems including automated SEC/CFTC reporting (saving 80+ hours/quarter), improved trade execution (cutting slippage by $400K–$800K annually), and an internal ML research toolkit that scaled with the team.

A self-taught developer, Payas has launched several AI-driven MVPs for podcasters, UX researchers, and real estate professionals—translating real user needs into working products using Python and modern APIs.

He also co-founded Handy Point Group, a profitable data analytics consultancy, and previously led product for a university housing startup—demonstrating a disciplined approach to lean product development and user validation.
